What if I do not want Point to move my funds to Column?
If you do not want Point to move your funds, you should notify us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will work with you to close your account.
Anything else I need to do if I want to opt-out?
Please make sure your backup account information is up to date if you're opting out of the transfer. We will process a payment to the account on file.
What happens to my current card after the transfer date?
After the transfer date, your old card will no longer work and you must use your new card moving forward.
What happens if I opt-out after the transfer date?
If you would like to opt out after the transfer date, such a request will be considered a request to close your account.
What will happen to automatic payments linked to my Point account?
You will need to update recurring billing details stored with services (e.g., Netflix, Spotify, YouTube Premium, etc.) with your new card number or account and routing number.
What will happen to my direct deposit?
You will need to provide your new account and routing numbers to your payroll department or within your payroll management app. To locate your account and routing information in the Point App, please follow these steps:
- Open the Point App
- Navigate to the
Direct Depositfrom the list of options
- Copy your routing and account numbers and provide this new information to your payroll department or payroll management app.
What will happen to my point total if I opt out?
If you do not redeem your points, prior to opting out, your points will be canceled.
What has changed in the Deposit and Card Agreement?
The terms of your bank account will not change. It is still a non-interest-bearing demand deposit account with the same accessibility and transaction limitations as you had before. The funds are still covered by FDIC insurance. You should read the Deposit and Card Agreement and direct any questions or customer service requests to Point.
What has changed for my cardholder benefits?
New Benefits with Visa:

Event Ticket Protection* -- Concert canceled? You’re covered with PointCard, whether the vendor reimburses you or not. You can be reimbursed for the unused non-refundable event ticket purchased with your PointCard if you are unable to attend the event due to a covered reason. ($500/ticket. $2000/covered event. $4000/yr per card.)
Travel Accident Insurance* -- Additional peace of mind for trips near and far. When you purchase your common carrier ticket with your covered PointCard, you can receive $1,000,000 of accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Will anything change in terms of how I access my Point account?
You will continue to access your Point account through the Point App.
