If you use Point to pay for a car loan, rent, or mortgage, your payment may face processing issues. In these cases, we recommend connecting Point as a bank account rather than using your 16 digit debit card number.
To locate your account's routing and receiving bank information in Point App, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the CASH tab.
- Select the yellow ADD CASH button at the top of the screen.
- Select Direct Deposit from the list of add cash options
- Select Routing & Account Numbers
There, you will find your account's routing & account numbers, as well as the receiving bank's information. If you have further questions, please feel free to follow up and we'd be happy to assist you.
Given that all financial services are different, we recommend you familiarize yourself with their systems to find where to input these numbers. In most cases, you'll be able to use these numbers to connect to your external account, transfer funds, and make a payment. This is also the preferred option as many payment apps have a separate percentage charge when running a payment as credit or debit.
If you have any trouble, please reach out to hello@point.app with the services you are trying to use and our Member Services team will be happy to assist further!
